Its not fun to think about, but preparing for your own passing is important. Your friends and family, and whomever you have selected as your Personal Representatives will have a lot to sort out after you die. There are a few things you can do now, that will make the time easier for them. Write down in a document that’s relatively easy to find, your “last wishes.” The Last Wishes document includes information like where you would like to be buried, or if you’d rather be cremated. It also states your intent as to whether you want to have a funeral or a celebration of life. These things are seemingly unimportant now but are of great help to those you’ve left behind who are also dealing with grief and sadness.
