Many clients select a Corporate Trustee to manage their Trusts, who will step in at the time they are most vulnerable and unable to adequately carry out their own Trustee duties, or after they pass, to manage the money for the next generation. There are of course, other situations that warrant a Corporate Trustee. Regardless, choosing the right Corporate Trustee is important. Some factors to consider are costs and fees, capability of impartiality and making difficult decisions, investment strategies, location and ease of accessibility, and types of services offered. It’s not unusual for clients to meet with several companies before deciding on a Corporate Trustee that will be best suited to meet your needs and the needs of your beneficiaries.
